Everything we use
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-ishara HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict | Cookie | Essential | Keeps you signed in after you enter your access code. Holds a random account and session id, no personal details. | Up to 180 days; ends after 30 days without use, or when you log out |
| ishara_consent Secure, SameSite=Lax | Cookie | Essential | Remembers your cookie choices, so this banner does not come back on every visit. | 12 months, or until the cookie policy changes |
| ishara.theme | Browser storage | Preferences | Remembers light or dark mode on this device. | Until you clear it or turn Preferences off |
| ishara.tone.v1 | Browser storage | Preferences | Remembers TARA's talk style (Simple, Bestie, Hinglish, Guru). | Until you clear it or turn Preferences off |
| ishara.active.v1 | Browser storage | Preferences | Remembers whose chart you looked at last (an id only). | Until you log out, clear it or turn Preferences off |
| Notifications | Service worker | Essential | Only if you turn on notifications: a small script (/sw.js) and the browser’s notification subscription for this site, so TARA’s daily notifications can appear. It stores nothing else and caches no pages. | Until you turn notifications off or clear this site’s data |
| Page visits | Server only | Analytics | Records which pages of the app you open and when, in our own database, to see which features help. No cookie and no third party is involved. | 12 months |
Payments
If you buy credits, Razorpay’s checkout opens in its own window and may set its own cookies there, under Razorpay’s privacy policy. Nothing from Razorpay loads before you start a payment.
Your choices
Use Cookie Settings in the footer of any page to change your choice. Turning Preferences off deletes the items stored under it. If you are signed in, your choice is also saved in your account so it follows you to other devices. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; you will then need your access code again.
We ask again only when this policy changes. This is version 2026-10-07. More about your data: Privacy Policy.
